As you probably already know, Jazz Joint on RadioBoise.org is no longer (& hasn't been for a while)...the wad's been shot and I had too much else going on beyond not living in Boise and not having much contact with the good folks there to keep up the energy and motivation to research and build a show every week.

I appreciate the opportunity Jeff and company gave me by giving myself and my early collaborators a slot, and I deeply value the education I received exploring the world of Jazz. It's a lifelong pursuit, and I look forward to seeing what's around the corner in that regard.

I'm not sure what I will do with this blog, what direction it may take if it's to continue at all. Time will tell. Perhaps something music/jazz related, something artistic, or a place to opine. ... who knows?

To those who followed Jazz Joint, thanks for the encouragement and support. I hope you'll check back in the future to see what happens next.

Cheers, Tim

After taking several months off, this is the first show in what should prove to be a fun run up to the point RadioBoise hits the terrestrial airwaves. A million thanks to the folks at the station for their patience in allowing me to chill and summon the energy to put this show together again.

This week's show is a mix of a bunch of stuff I've had in fairly heavy rotation while plugging away at work, some of it I've played before, and some of it like Gabor Szabo and Joe Pass, both outstanding guitarists, recently hit my ears for the first time on Pandora. At some point in the near future I'll put together a guitar show and showcase more of their stuff. ~TW
